There are a few things that I love seeing and exploring, and great architecture is one of them, even though I’ve never studied it. But sometimes you don’t need to know everything to be able to appreciate a work of beauty.
This is Cathedral Hall at the Australian Catholic University. It was built in 1904, and is one of the most stunning places I’ve ever had the fortune to visit. What you can’t tell is that the place is in darkness – the only light you see is steaming in from that window on the left. But even with that little bit of light, I could see so much of the details of this grand old hall. And I felt very lucky to have had the chance to visit a place like this today.
